British artist, Shabana Kauser moved from London, UK, to Fayetteville, Arkansas 9 years ago and here she discovered her love for creating art. In 2013, she painted her first ever portrait. Her journey started off as an interest and this soon turned into a full time career. Shabana has enjoyed successful solo and group gallery exhibits in Arkansas and has been voted into a number of international and local juried shows. Her most recent press coverage can be seen in the well known Arkansas magazine known as 'The Idle Class Magazine' (Artist Issue) and the International Artist Portfolio Magazine.
Traditionally from a business background and having achieved a BSc in Business IT and a MSc in Information Management, Shabana prides herself on learning. She recently added to her art education by attending one of the top international art schools, the University of Arts London. Her art journey, has been rapidly growing ever since her very first exhibit in March 2017.
Her realistic oil paintings, mixed media and pencil drawing shown here were created by studying light and details. Her oil paintings include several layers of paint to create the finished work. Her early work studied iconic faces, her most recent work has evolved and captures her culture.
